What makes Tampere special for you?
Since I came to Finland 3 years ago, I visited Tampere only 3 times. My first time was hosting Exhibition in Hämeenpuisto and I found that people in Tampere was really nice and open (with their Moro). Tampere is one of the most beautiful cities in Finland, smaller then Helsinki but I could say, as international as Helsinki. I came to visit Tampere also for Indonesian language Evening at Indonesia-Tampere Association, and it makes Tampere very special for me because I can find this association here in Finland and it is in Tampere. This is one of the reasons I came back all the way from Indonesia to Finland and study in Tampere.

I am now fully studying in TAMK but at the same time I am also a performer. I sing, play piano and guitar in many occasions and at the church. I am also freelancing to some company form Finland, helping them to penetrate Indonesia’s market and also freelancing to one of the biggest tour operators in Indonesia to explore possibilities of the new market in Nordic countries (both in-bound and out-bound). In my free time I also handling some exhibition in Helsinki, cooperate with Indonesian Embassy.
What is your involvement in international activities?
I am Indonesian, I study is International Business Management in TAMK and it is in English. Having experience working in the embassy in Helsinki and Finnish company in Indonesia bring some international contacts in International organisations, associations, companies and also embassy from other countries in Helsinki.
What is your mission as a Tampere - All Bright! Ambassador?
I am so close to the word of Ambassador and I know exactly what it is, how it is and what to do with it. I believe with all of my experience I can bring a new thing to the table. I usually become a person in charge to some group of people from Indonesia (exchange students, tourists, official delegations) who visiting Finland for a short time. I and my friend now have our own company in a trading and student consultancy for Indonesian, and I think its a good combination to become a good Ambassador to Tampere.
What potential do you see for Tampere in the future?
Tampere is a beautiful city but I think Tampere can attract more International visitor by building a unique tourist attraction that people can only find in Tampere. Tampere is also a student city, and I think in future in will grow faster than now, since we are as Indonesian in Finland also trying to promote a good education system in Finland. Tampere located just 2 hours by train from the capital, and it is a perfect location to develop Tampere as an Industrial city.
