Business culture straight from horse's mouth - Talent Meet: Iran

Recently, Talent Tampere organized a Talent Meet to bring together local companies interested in Iran with Iranian talents residing in the Tampere region.

In a Talent Meet, companies wish to touch base with international talent pools and learn from their target market, whereas talents have a interest in getting to know Finnish business life and expanding their professional networks.

The content for this informal event was produced by participants: a company case followed by presentations by Iranian talents giving insight on Iranian business, culture and inter-cultural communication in Finnish-Iranian context. Talent Meet is strongly based on questions and answers, dialogue between all participants.

Iranian students living in Finland gave a concrete demonstration on intercultural communication issues

Talent Meet brings together both companies and talents for dialogue. “We got excellent contacts in this event”, says Sirkka Hagman. “We’ll invite two of the participants to give a presentation for our whole staff. It’s so concrete when Iranians living in Finland demonstrate the cultural issues and tell about business environment.”

Talent Meets are open for all interested companies and can be arranged easily. Talents are sought through Talent Tampere and Tampere Ambassadors’ networks. The company just needs to start the dialogue with an open mind.
