New competences for SMEs - exciting survey results are out!

Uutta osaamista -project lowers the barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises to hire international trainees. The study was made for CIMO (as of 1.1.2017 Finnish National Agency for Education) and the results are now published at the uuttaosaamista.fi website. The special aim of the research was to find ways to make it easier for small and mid-size companies to connect with international university trainees and to utilise international know-how, skill and competences they have to offer.

The survey results show that international talents bring new competences and perspectives that can be utilised in developing the business operations of the SMEs. The biggest challenge seems to be the lack of information on how to properly utilise the potential.

The research was organised by Centre for International Mobility CIMO in co-operation with Owal Group. Talent Tampere operated as a regional partner in the project.
