Bright MENA Talent workshop in Talent Space on 12.5
Talent Tampere organised a pilot workshop for Talents from Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region on 12.5.2016 in Talent Space in Tampere. The purpose of the workshop & training was to facilitate for MENA professionals and students to improve their contacts and job opportunities with the Finnish companies which wish to develop their business operations in the MENA region.
In the MENA workshop, there were some 30 participants from several MENA countries: Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and Syria. Many of the talents had university degree or they were studying at Finnish Universities and some had already various international work experiences. In addition, there was also a group of asylum seekers who were mostly making observations in ongoing discussions. Many MENA talents were motivated and interested to find out more business opportunities in Finland in which they could better used their native language Arabic and other languages like French and English.
The workshop included presentations, interactive dialogue, individual and group works and writing exercises on skill development. Furthermore, lift speech exercise in the front of audience with microphone for a couple of minutes and feedback from other MENA talents created good exchange of opinions how to improve. MENA Talent booklets will be distributed during MENA Bright Business lunch on 2.6 in Talent Space in Tampere. MENA Talents listed sectors which could be useful to invite to participate in MENA Bright Business Lunch on 2.6. In the list following company sectors were mentioned: agriculture, automation, chemical industry, cleantech, construction, fast moving consumer goods, energy, health care and medical equipment, ICT, logistics, metals, mining, oil and gas and paper industry.
